WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
We are thrilled to have you join us this season! Please take some time to go through this page - I promise it will be worth it in the future so that you know what to expect and can find answers to your questions 😊
Table of Contents:
1. Get your PlayMetrics App set up on your phone!
We recommend all guardians of each player has this app on their phone so everyone receives important notifications from us.
You should already have an account since this is the portal you used to register your player.
Go to settings and turn ON all notifications.
Through PlayMetrics, you will find:
-
Your player's up to date team practice and game schedule. If any changes are made due to weather, the schedule will be updated and you will receive a notification.
-
Communications from the academy and coaches.
-
Your player's Bi-Annual Player Evaluations.
-
'User Messaging'. This is how you can reach out to our customer support team and coaches. Make sure to choose the INBOX option to create messages. Avoid using the CHAT option, as the app does not send notifications for these.
2. Uniforms
Once registered, please give Soccer Post 2 business days to send you the link to order uniforms. Make sure to order them as soon as you receive the link!
-
If you have any questions regarding your order, please reach out to soccer post: johncorrales@soccerpost.com
-
While you wait for your uniforms to arrive, your players may continue to use their uniforms from last season, and if they are new players, they must wear a white shirt and black shorts and socks for practice.
3. Connect with coaches and other parents in the team!
The week before the season starts, you will receive messages from your coaches regarding league games and tournaments. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to them via PlayMetrics.

We strongly encourage parents to connect with each other when practices start, after all, you'll be spending lots of time together this season! Group chats could be a great way for everyone to stay connected.

Some suggestions for parents to discuss for each team:
1. Parents could take turns bringing snacks/drinks to each game.
2. Check out this app that we came across - parents can use this to record games and share with loved ones that couldn't make it: https://gc.com/
3. If you are interested in being the Lead Parent of the team, let us know via PlayMetrics (contact@juventusacademyhouston.com). The Lead Parent is in charge of bringing tent and chairs to the games, organizing team dinners/lunches when it makes sense, and finding a sponsor for the team (this sponsorship would pay for tournaments among other things that will be discussed).

4. Parent's Guide and Team Presentations
On August 10th, 2024, we held a meeting for all Juventus Academy families to provide you with details on the resources that we provide for the competitive and non-competitive teams each season, information on uniforms, our pathway, our international programs and more. Additionally, we provided presentations for each team with relevant information regarding coaches' goals for each team, and leagues and tournaments if applicable.

Please find the links to the presentations below:
